Sayin' Thanks
We have been on the receiving end of a lot of random acts of kindness in the last half year, and I took an afternoon last week to make some thank you cards to acknowledge our gratitude and appreciation.
This card features the springy colours found in the Bold Brights family. I stamped the Pixie Pink card with the Thank You stamp from the Simple Sketches set. I suspect that this set will be on the soon-to-be-released retired stamp set list. The Almost Apricot layer is sponged with Pixie Pink. The Gable Green is stamped in Gable Green ink with the Fine Lace background stamp. The 1 1/4 Square punch was used to make the Almost Apricot square, which is sponged in Pixie Pink and paper pierced. I used all 3 stamps for the butterfly. Yes, this is 3-step stamping! The smallest stamp was inked with VersaMark and classic and then heat embossed with Irridescent Ice to add some sparkle. Celery and Rose grosgrain ribbons were used to create the fringed detail peeking out from the butterfly. I promise a tutorial on the frayed ribbon next week.
