Here Comes the Bride...

I entered a swap hosted by a demonstrator in Melbourne ON that features wedding invitations. I had been in a swap like this before, but it had been about 2 years and I think my invitation portfolio needs updating. I entered two groups, meaning I needed to make two different sets of 12 invitations. So here are my two invitations: The first card is 5 x 5 when it's folded. I used Chocolate Chip and the Au Chocolat paper from the spring mini. I LOVE that paper. There's a strip of it on the front and a square of it inside, on which the wording is mounted. I used the ampersand from the Big Deal alphabet to stamp over the couples' monograms. Kind of classy and modern at the same time, I think. The second card is made to fit Stampin' Up!'s long open ended envelope. It's a Cranberry Crisp and Very Vanilla invitation. I stamped off and used the Stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp the small leaves and blossoms from the Wild Rose stamp set, sticking to all Cranberry tones to border the wording. The larger leaves are stamped on the Cranberry layer. Finally I used the Zig Painty and the Mat pack to dot a straight line of evenly spaced gold. I don't expect to get the swap back until mid to late next week, but I'll create a slide show with them before I add them to my book. I can't wait to see what everyone else came up with!
