Micro Doodle
Our stamp club met this past Wednesday and Lea-Anne was the hostess this month. For about three months now, Lea-Anne has been asking about microbeads, so I started our get together showing the ladies what we can do with microbeads, and the best adhesives to use with them. We looked at 3-D items and I showed them a scrapbook page I had used them on. I'll have to remember to post it here too sometime, it's from the travel album - the one that has become a two-year epic hehehe. So after some show & tell, it was time to play.
We made this card, and I wouldn't be surprised if something on SplitCoast inspired this card, but I can't find any note here to give credit. If this resembles your card, let me know and I'll gladly credit you.
On to the card...
The colours all draw from the patterned paper. This is the two sided Petals & Paisley paper from the Spring Mini (click on the Spring Mini link to the left to see the paper, the stamp set & lots more). We used black Staz-On to stamp the doodle flower and stems on the Whisper White cardstock and filled in colour with the Aquapainter and watercolour crayons. The Levi tab is a regal rose rectangle stamped in craft white with the greeting from Sweet Shapes. We used the Cutter Kit to rough up the edges before we made a pool of Crystal Effects and spooned the microbeads on the flower centre. Cute and quick.
