Gifties for my Club Members

Check out these! My friend Janet has been saving these tins that the coffee comes in at the cafe where she works. She's a demonstrator too and knows how we love finding things to alter! So she gave a few of these tins and I was waiting for the right time to do something with them. Well my Stamp Club has just finished up and I thought now I have the reason. I got to work on the tins, altering them with paper I left from open Simply Scrappin' Kits. They are wraped in the cardstock and embellished with the die cut adhesives that accompany the kits. I added grosgrain to the edges of the lids and then added glitter or beads to further enhance them. So look around the house and see what you can find to alter - it's so easy and fun. Those cannisters that Tetley round teabags come in would work. What else? And what do you put in the altered tins? Just about anything you can think of! My club members are tea drinkers, so I assembled a little packet of 5 different kinds of tea and tied them together with organdy and cord. And then I added some chocolate - they are women, afterall! These are a lovely layered truffle-type chocolate that my mom brought back from her recent trip to Austria for us. Aren't I nice to share? We are talking dark chocolate here, my favourite! I added some chipboard for them to play with. More chocolate, of course... These are an easy folded pouch. I downsized the one I showed you in my last post to hold these chocolate squares, which are a little smaller. And some eyelets. In a sampling of all 4 colour groups. Because in my cleanup (a work in progress LOL) I realized I have a LOT of eyelets. And because it's fun to share. And because I love these ladies in my stamp club - they have all become friends!
