Inky Antics, part 2
As soon as I saw Doodle This, I loved it for the overlay potential. I look forward to trying it in my scrapbooking...
This is another card the stamp club did in the Inky Antics class. It features Staz-On ink, both black and white.
We stamped the large flower with black Staz-On on whisper white cardstock (someday I may break down and buy the watercolour paper...)and then coloured in with the watercolour crayons and an Aquapainter.
We stamped the small flower and the swirly flourishes with white Staz-on on a transparency cut to the same size as the white. We used the black Staz-On to stamp "happiness" from the Warm Words set in the lower left. We attached the overlay with brads.
Although I loved this card when I first made it up - at least, I think I made it up. (I have browsed so many online galleries and blogs in the last two weeks, that I may have come under the influence of any number of stampers. I do know that the last time I looked, only one other stamper had seen the overlay potential of this set in the Splitcoast gallery. If I copied her card, it is unintentional, but rather subliminal. I really want to be careful to acknowledge the inspiration of other stampers - I think it's important. All these on-line resources are fantastic, and it's great that so many people share their ideas. It's not nice when ideas are used without giving credit where it's due.) But I digress.... OK, so when I got home, although I loved this card - it's bright and cheery and we'd been lambasted with snow, wind and cold here in Elmira for much of the week - it just needed a little bling, I think. So I dabbed the dots on the large flowers with 2 way glue and sprinkled on the Dazzling Diamonds. That did it for me!
